[TRAINS FOREGO TIME-TABLE]
Brandon Times, February 5, 1874

The trains on this particular piece of railroad do not appear to run by any particular time-table, but to start when they get a good ready and go through as fast as convenient. Saturday night, the passenger got here at ten o'clock, having made a little better time than the preceding evening, but surely, if the wind had not stopped blowing from the north we don't believe it would have got here at all. Monday evening, it was only 45 minutes late, an [sic] Tuesday evening did fifteen minutes better. It is getting so that if a stranger asks the time of the arrival of the train, the only answer that can be given with any certainty of approximation to accuracy, is that it will probably be here soon after the whistle blows.
