Woodbridge Sleeper from 1880 History

W. 0. SLEEPER, farmer, Sec. 32; P. 0. Fairwater; born in Merrimack Co., N. H., in 1817; was brought up as a farmer; came West in 1842; he took up a farm, which he now owns, in 1846. He was married, in 1842, to Miss Lavitia Pierce, of Kenosha Co., Wis.; they have had no issue. Their farm consists of 200 acres, fully half of which is now under cultivation. They have brought up two nieces, one of whom is married to George Lyon, of this town. Himself and wife are members of the Congregational Church at Fairwater; he is a Republican. Mr. Sleeper's health has not been uniformly good, but he is a hard-working and highly respected man.
