[SCHOOL ITEMS]
Brandon Times, November 26, 1925
The School Glee Club under the
direction of Miss Braatz rendered two selections. Other musical numbers were rendered by
Messrs. Henslin, Korb, and Vernon Korb.
The following officers were elected: President - Fred Henslin; Vice President
- Mrs. Sommers; Secretary - Mrs. Abercrombie.
Phyllis Jane Hamley of Brandon visited the Primary Department Tuesday.
The pupils of the Third Grade have completed an illustrated Pilgrim booklet.
Annice Schouten and Erwin Beilke were absent from school last week on
accouint of Illness.
Agnes Schepenski of the Sixth Grade has recently finished a health poster
which deserves special mention. The pictures as well as the lettering are painted in water
colors. From every standpoint, such as neatness, spacing of letters, arrangement and
balance, her poster is almost perfect.
On it animated vegetables, peas, corn, onions, tomatoes, beets etc. are on
parade with a little girl. The slogan reads: "Eat Some Vegetables Besides Potatoes
Every Day."
The attendance has been very much lower than usual during the few weeks
because of Chicken Pox. This week, however, it is again back to normal.
