INTERMEDIATE DEPARTMENT
Many have read and reported on reading circle books.
In connection with a language story, we did some charcoal drawing in drawing
period. We drew the Shepherds on the plains near Bethlehem.
Fourth Grade Language class told the following Christmas stories: THE FIR
TREE by Anderson; GOLDEN COBWEBS; also the FIRST CHRISTMAS STORY.
Fourth Grade is reading "THE CHRISTMAS STORY" and
"SCROOGE."
Dorothea Born, Eva Blank, Violet Baker, Lenore Stellmacher, Ivan Otto and
Mary Shepanske have the best penmanship papers this week.
Some interesting letters were written last week.
Bertha Schmeck played the various songs through for our Christmas program
last Thursday.
We did "the grind" and "the grasp" exercises with our
"daily dozen record" in gymnastic period.
GRAMMAR ROOM
Robert Dietrich was absent Monday.
Raymond and Edwin were tardy AGAIN.
The SEventh Grade Arithmetic Class are having problems on percentage. SOME
understand, most don't.
The whole school went to Daehn's Hall Friday afternoon and practiced the
Christmas program.
Irene was all "frizzed" up Monday.
The "Frosh" studied sound Monday.
Arvilla Schmuhl went to the dentist Friday afternoon.
The Ninth Grade is studying the Budget Making system. They have to make a
budget for FairWater Tuesday.
The "Frosh" have to have 120 problems worked by Wednesday.
Bessie had her hair culed from top to Bottom Monday.
Walter is rather inquisitive.
