FAIRWATER ITEMS

     Messrs Fred Harms, Fred Alvin, John Kaufman and Fred Berg, the Misses Millie Alvin, Hattie Haggerty, Laura Falbe Doretha [sic] Alvin attended the Harvest Festival at Ripon Tuesday.
     Mrs. J. Edmund Millard of De Pere and Mrs. L. C. Wheeler of Dartford were the guests of Mrs. J. R. Cardiff, Monday.
     Miss Grace Taylor of Dartford was the guest of her sister, Mrs. C. Kingsbury, last week.
     Clyde and Gertrude Haggerty were Ripon visitors last Friday.
     A. Masolnek went to Milwaukee Wednesday morning to move his family here.
     The work on the new elevator is progressing rapidly.
     J. Batson will erect a residence in North Fairwater, this fall.
     School opened Sept. 4 with Mr. White of Platteville as principal, and Miss Gertrude Haggerty as the primary teacher.
     The Lyons' stores at North Fairwater are nearly completed.
     George Johnson has returned from the west and is living on his father's farm, west of town.
     A. Masolnek has moved into his new store, one door west of Block's hotel. Success to the Milwaukee [sic] store.
     Chas. Kingsbury, formerly of Ripon will open a grocery store in the Batson block, in a few weeks.
     C. P. Tinkham filled the pulpit at the Baptist church, Sunday.
     C. C. Cease will move his family into his new brick building, about Oct. 1
     Mrs. Plaugens [sic] visited Brandon Tuesday.
     The Lamond store is now for rent.
     Emil Fenske has resigned his position at Tinkham Bros. elevator and is now employed by the Bornshein Elevator Co.
     I. J. Williams is handling considerable poultry this fall.
     Most of the Fairwater ladies are interested in making chow chow, piccalilli and mustard pickles this week.
