The Fairwater Depot, ca. 1908

The post card photograph, postmarked 1908, pictures the depot and Elm Street homes looking west from Main Street. The houses were constructed ca. 1904 in the "North Fairwater" section of the village. Village streets at this time were not paved. The utility pole pictured at the far right was apparently a telephone pole. Electricity did not come to the village until after 1910.
