Lenz's Garage, 1940

Pictured above is the Lenz's Garage located on the east side of Main Street at the intersection with Washington Street. The photograph is dated July 10, 1940, shortly after the building was constructed. The photo below, dated April 30, 1940, shows the (unnamed) blacksmith shop that existed on the same site. It is dated April 30, 1940, indicating that the original building was demolished and the garage was constructed in the late spring and early summer of 1940.
