Rev. and Mrs. O. H. True, ca. 1899

Rev O. H. True was pastor of the Fairwater Free Baptist Church from 1891 to 1899, one of that church's most popular leaders. In noting True's importance to the church the Fairwater Register noted on January 1, 1904, that, "the records of the spring months of 1899 stand out with a glad and sacred prominence, for it was then that Rev. O. H. True, closed his pastorate of this church, and his active work as a Minister of the Gospel, by adding to the church twenty-three members by baptism, thus more than doubling the membership."
