THIRD WISCONSIN INFANTRY
1902 Fond du Lac Reunion

William Love's Wisconsin in the War of the Rebellion; A History
of All Regiments and Batteries (Chicago: Church and
Goodman, 1866) indicates that the "Third Regiment ofWisconsin Volunteer Infantry was
called into camp at Fond du Lac, about the 15th of June, 1861. It was the second
three years regiment raised in the State." The regiment witnessed action at Harper's
Ferry, Winchester, and Cedar Mountain.

identified as the "Twelfth Re-union of the 3d Wis. Inf. Ass'n, Fond du Lac, Sept 16
