Captain William Plocker's gravesite in the Fairwater Cemetery	The town of Metomen contains six cemeteries. A seventh, Wood Cemetery, containing many of the former residents of Metomen, is located just across the town line in section 5 of Alto Township. Brandon Cemetery: located in the village of Brandon Fairwater Cemetery: located in the village of Fairwater Reeds Corners Bethel Cemetery: located on Reeds Corners Road in section 3, adjacent to the railroad Round Prairie Cemetery: located on Highway 49 in section 21, adjacent to the former school building Swartz Family Cemetery: located on Radio Road in section 4 Union Prairie Cemetery: located on County T in section 25, 1/2 mile east of Brandon Wood Cemetery: located on County JJ (Liner Road) in section 5 of the town of Alto, 1.5 miles southeast of Fairwater
