OAKFIELD TORNADO, 1996
Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin

 

On July 18, 1996, Oakfield, Wisconsin, experienced a massive tornado that destroyed about half of the community and left hundreds of its residents homeless. The storm has served as the subject of extensive study among meteorologists. A list of Internet links related to the event follows:
