BIG FAREWELL MONDAY NIGHT
CERTIFIED MEN WILL BE GUESTS OF HONOR AT FAREWELL DEMONSTRATION

A farewell demonstration by the citizens of Campbellsport, for the honor men of the village and rural routes, who were certified for service in the U. S. army, will be given at the New Opera house Monday evening, September 3rd.
At the last monthly meeting of the local camp, Modern Woodmen of America, steps were taken to promote the farewell demonstration, and accordingly a mass meeting was called for last Friday evening, when a committee was appointed to make arrangements for the demonstration. The members of the committee appointed are: Post Master T. N. Curran, Dr. David Knickel, H. J. Paas, B. H. Glass and W. J. Sullivan.
The affair will be in the form of a dance, Miller's orchestra of Fond du Lac being engaged to furnish the music. During the evening an address will be delivered by Attorney T. L. Doyle of Fond du Lac.
The certified men of Campbellsport and the rural mail routes will leave on four different dates, and it is the object of the committees in charge of the demonstration on Monday night to have it a big affair and open house to everybody, in order that the boys and their friends will be given an opportunity to meet on that evening, while the different units, as they are called into service, will be given separate farewell demonstrations on the respective days of their departure.
The proceeds of the dance will go towards purchasing comforts for the honor men from the village and vicinity. The "comforts" include such articles which are of daily use to the soldier boys at the cantonment camps, but which are not included in the allotments of food and clothing furnished by the government.
There will be no ticket sale for the dance. The certified men will be guests of honor, and everybody else will be given an opportunity to "do their bit" by contributing their share in a plan which has been outlined by the committee in charge of the affair.
Let everybody in Campbellsport and vicinity turn out on this occasion. Let's not have any Slacker, but come Monday night in true American spirit, to cheer along the boys who have been chosen to rally to the colors. And, remember that the bigger the proceeds of the dance, the bigger will be the package of "comforts" for each one of our selected boys.
