COUNTY PIONEER DIES SUDDENLY
Andrew Buehner, age 79 years, a resident
of this county for the past 55 years and a well known pioneer, died at the family
residence in the town of Osceola, last Thursday afternoon at two o'clock.
Although Mr. Buehner had been in poor health for the past several years, he
had been feeling fine all summer, doing a little work about his home, so they had no idea
of death being so near. He was taken ill about ten o'clock and at two o'clock passed away
very suddenly.
Mr. Buehner was born in Germany, Jan. 6, 1843, and when 24 years of age came
to America where he has resided ever since. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs.
Henry Rohls of Osceola, Mrs. Robert Buettner of town Auburn, and Mrs. Charles Mielke of
Fond du Lac, four sons, Ernest of Eldorado, Charles of Eden, John of Fond du Lac and
George at home, one brother Ernest of Duluth, and nineteen grandchildren, also survive
him.
The funeral was held Sunday at one o'clock from the residence, and at 2
o'clock from the Waucousta Lutheran church. The pastor, Rev. Carl Appeler being assisted
by Rev. Gutekunst of New Fane, officiating. The funeral was very largely attended. |
