APPEARED IN Dr. J. E. Block of Dundee was arraigned
before Justice R. C. Fairbank, at Fond du Lac, Wednesday morning, on the charge of being a
habitual drunkard. His case was adjourned until Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, and in
default of bail, he was remanded to the county jail to await his hearing. Henry Dieringer of the town of Ashford paid a
fine and cost amounting to $49.43 in Justice H. J. Paas' court here Wednesday morning,
after pleading guilty to the charge of being drunk and disorderly. During Dieringer's
"celebration," Tuesday evening, he took a horse belonging to another farmer,
from the sheds near the A. F. Krueger saloon at Elmore, drove to his home and put the
animal in the stable, where it was found later in the evening by Marshal Schaefer and
Constables Kraemer and Boeckler of this village. |
