HISTORIC LOG CABIN
STILL STANDING

On the 80-acre farm recently sold by P. J. Rohan, located about two miles south of the village of Eden, just east of County trunk line V, stands a log house which, it is stated, was built several years before the Civil war. During an auction which was conducted by O'Brien Bros., the Eden auctioneers, on the Rohan farm on Frebruary 1, attention was called to the old house and its good condition after so many years. P. J. Rohan, who with his sister Susan Rohan, has lived in the building for many years, but Mr. Rohan recently sold the farm to Geo. Koenigs, a neighbor, and on February 1 sold the personal property and plans on moving with his sister to Fond du Lac.
The log house, it is said by J. H. Maney, of Fond du Lac, a county pioneer, was built by a Wm. Lonzigan about the year 1854 or 1856. A man named Patrick Cusik is said to have lived there at a later time.
Mr. Maney lived a short distance from the Rohan house on a farm now occupied by Jas. O'Brien. The Rohan house is a small story and a half building 18x24 feet, it is in fairly good condition, for its age and has always been occupied.
