FRED. MARQUARDT AND HENRY BROWN DIED DURING PAST WEEK--OTHER DEATH
Frederick Marquardt, a highly
esteemed citizen of the town of Auburn, died at his home near Dundee, Monday afternoon at
1:15 o'clock, after a prolonged illness.
Deceased was born in Zowen, Pommern, Germany, August 18, 1865. He came to
America when eighteen years of age, coming directly to Fond du Lac county and has since
been a resident of this community.
Mr. Marquardt is survived by a widow, three sons, Oscar, William and
Fredrick, Jr., three daughters, Esther, Celia and Adeline.
The funeral services were held this morning at 9:30 o'clock from the
residence at 10 o'clock, from the Lutheran church at Dundee, the Rev. C. Aeppler
officiating. Interment took place in the Lutheran cemetery in the town of Mitchell.
HENRY BROWN
Henry Brown, aged 85 years, died Monday evening at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Ellen Parret, near Spencer in Clark county.
Deceased was born in Ohio in 1830, and when eighteen years of age, he came to
this vicinity, locating on a farm, on what is now the Dundee road. During the last 20
years he has made Clark county his home, spending the declining years with his children.
He is survived by three sons, Charles of Spencer, Marvin and Frank of Wibee Island,
Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Parret and Mrs. Minnie Hebert both residing near
Spencer.
The remains were brought here Wednesday afternoon at 2:20 o'clock on a
Northwestern train and were taken from the depot to the Baptist church, where Rev. J. W.
Taylor conducted the funeral services. Interment was held at the Union cemetery.
