A beautifully situated village on Green Lake, in Brooklyn township, Green Lake county, of which it is the judicial seat, 76 miles northwest of Milwaukee, 6 miles west of Ripon, the nearest banking point, and 1 1/2 miles from Green Lake, on the C. & N. W. Ry. It contains a creamery, flour mill and wagon shop and a weekly newspaper, the Green Lake County Reporter. Telephone connection. Population 400. Tel., W. U. Exp., Am. Myron H. Has a bank, Congregational, Methodist Episcopal and Lutheran churches and two-weekly newspaper, the Green Lake County Reporter. It is the postoffice for the famous summer resorts on the lake, which include Oakwood, Sherwood Forest, Spring Grove and Maple Wood hotels. Bus and transfer connection with Green Lake station.
