FEBRUARY 7, 2003
I. Roll Call
Members Present: Joe DeRose, Judy Scheele, Sue Schlueter,
and Katie Pink
II. Minutes
- Agenda was approved.
- Minutes of January 24, 2003 were approved.
- Judy explained that data entry is proceeding but the site
form needs to be revamped.
- Katie is going to Spring Prairie to take more photos.
Melissa Cook, DNR Rails to Trails coordinator, wants a part of the trail
to go to Springfield and Lyons. Judy will look for UGRR sites in those
communities.
- Dave McKay contacted Galin Berrier about being the keynote
speaker and Galin agreed to do so. The Racine Heritage Museum has agreed
to host a meeting of up to 50 people. Joe and Mac McDonald visited the
museum to check out room arrangements. Judy discussed possible sponsoring
organizations and what to put in registration packets.
- Judy sent a letter to the NPS requesting project status
for the UGRR of WI so Mark Weaver can continue assisting the organization.
- Next meeting of the UGRR of WI will be on March
7, 2003 at noon at the Wisconsin Historical Society, 816 State St.,
Madison. The meeting will be held in the Murphy Board Room on the 3rd
floor.
